I felt terrible about AMac getting drilled into the boards, and it was absolutely penalty worthy and unnecessary, but if there there was a time when a player put himself in a bad position, that was it.

He had several seconds and several options to move the puck out of the zone but why he decided to hold onto it and circle back toward the boards was curious.

Hope he's alright.

Again, not having watched the game I can't really make a proper assessment but being down by three with limited time in the 3rd couldnt they have thrown Stoli out to get a little taste of action?

If you watch the kuhn hit in slow mo, the flyer was already falling before he engaged, at that speed it was impossible to let up. Had he not been falling it probably wouldn't have looked as bad as it did. I don't think that warrants a penalty if dude is already falling?

He still nailed him from behind, in the numbers. Definitely worth a minor, which would have wiped out the 5th goal.

Regardless the Pens were the better team, and deserved the win.

Pens beat Flyers 6-2 and the subject of the Pens' blog is "Wayne Simmonds Deserved Suspension for Slashing Matt Murray's Throat". Yeesh. Trolling for hits?

They laid an egg today, no doubt. Still control their own future. If they can beat Detroit & Toronto and Boston loses to Carolina or Detroit, by Friday they can clinch a spot.

Today's disappointment aside, this has been a resilient team. Still sitting at a 79% playoff chance today.

The good news is despite the ugly stat line, Mason was good again today. He's likely to play every game until they clinch, so giddyap.

It warrants a penalty if you drive through the hit and hit in the numbers. I'd say the same thing if it was a Flyer hitting a Penguin.

My elementary school diary got an A back in the day. Im sure that quality could replace the Pens blogger

It's a shame more fans won't realize that. Guy's a horse and he's the best goalie we've had the pleasure of watching for some time.

I'm not worried. I think they take care of business against Detroit and Toronto. Boston is in free fall mode too. Good thing about this team of late is that they don't dwell on a loss.
